2018 China International Photographic Art Festival and 17th China International Photographic Art Exhibition opens in Zhengzhou on May 18 themed on 「2018 Walking with the New Era」. Chief curators of the exhibition are Wu Weishan, Director of National Art Museum of China, and Jean Turco (France). Li Shufeng provides academic support. Nicolas Havette (France) serves as Executive Art Director.

2018中國國際攝影藝術節、中國第17屆國際攝影藝術展覽於5月18日在鄭州開幕。本屆國際攝影節展主題為「2018 與新時代同行」，中國美術館館長吳為山、讓?圖克（法國）為總策展人，李樹峰為學術主持，尼古拉斯?哈維特（法國）為執行藝術總監。

This year』s event features internationalism, professionalism and mass involvement. It has two exhibitions (17th China International Photographic Art Exhibition; Zhengzhou Image Biennial Exhibition), 18 sectors (Chinese and Foreign Photography Exhibition-Celebrating the 40 Years of China』s Reform and Opening Up; The Earth From Above-Exhibition of Masterpieces; Vision-exhibitions by country; Chasing Dream-National Center City Photography Exhibition, etc.), and nine events (Dialogue with Masters; meet-and-greet; seminar; Support Program for Young Photographers; drone show; inter-disciplinary film and photography exhibition; mobile phone photography exhibition; book and equipment fair; Chinese and Foreign Photography Exhibition-Zhengzhou) centered on one theme (Walking with the New Era). The exhibitions are held in Zhengzhou Shengda Art Gallery and the Cultural Plaza of Zhengdong New District.

本屆國際攝影節展圍繞國際性、注重專業性、突出群眾性，緊扣1個主題（與新時代同行），舉辦2個展覽（中國第17屆國際攝影藝術展覽，鄭州國際影像雙年展），設置18個版塊（《中外攝影對著拍》——慶祝中國改革開放40年、《鳥瞰地球》——國際名家影像展、《視覺》——國別展、《逐夢》——建設國家中心城市影像展等），組織9項活動（名家對話、專家見面會、名家影像交流、國際青年攝影師扶持計劃、無人機展演、跨界影像展映、手機曬照展播、器材圖書交易、中外攝影對著拍?鄭州），分別在鄭州升達藝術館、鄭東新區文化廣場展出和舉辦。

The 17th China International Photographic Art Exhibition has received over 230,000 photographs from 109 states and regions. After strict review by ten Chinese and foreign judges and a week』s publication, 296 works were selected for the exhibition. They will be on display under three categories, namely, 「Direction · Horizon」 themed works, documentary works and artistic works.

中國第17屆國際攝影藝術展覽共收到109個國家和地區的23萬餘幅攝影作品，經過國內外10餘位評委的嚴格評審及為期一周的公示，共計入展作品296件。入展作品將分為「方向?視界」主題類、紀錄類、藝術類等3個版塊展出。

That the International Photographic Art Exhibition settled in Zhengzhou is good news to Zhengzhou』s globalized cultural development. It will facilitate Zhengzhou to go overseas, bring the world closer to Zhengzhou, and give an impetus to Zhengzhou』s national central city construction.

國際攝影節展長期落戶鄭州，開啟了鄭州文化融入國際的新大門，繪製了樹立鄭州文化形象的新名片，既有利於讓鄭州更好地走向世界，更有利於讓世界更好地熟悉鄭州，對鄭州國家中心城市建設，具有很好的推動作用。

China International Photographic Art Exhibition is an international photography event and platform to present photographers and their works. Approved by the Ministry of Culture in 1981, the biannual event has successfully opened 16 times. It has broad impacts on the photography society.

中國國際攝影藝術節是一項國際性的攝影節慶活動，是向國內外介紹攝影家及其優秀作品的重要窗口和平台。中國國際攝影藝術展覽於1981年經中華人民共和國文化部批准設立，每兩年舉辦一屆,已經成功舉辦16屆，在國際上具有廣泛影響。
