The Soul Poems That Day 那一天

One day, I am bound to leave. When the moment arrives, I have to drop everything I have. I think it would be very painful, so I decide not to be obsessed with worldly things that I can" t take away.

Which day will be the day? I do not know. So I decide to try dropping a lot of obsessions every day, because that day can be any day.

I decide that every day, I would face all my familiar and unfamiliar friends with a smiling face, because I believe next time we meet , we will also smile at each other. There will be, of course, people glaring at me, but I believe that I also used to treat some others that way.

On this very day, I am very delighted, not because of the smiles of others, but because I can face everyone, smiling. Even if I can not help them, I can manage not to disturb them.

So I enjoy every moment. I can happily say goodbye to my yesterday, and can also look forward to a better me tomorrow.

If we can understand that it is actually so lucky to have what we have on each day, perhaps we will understand that the so-called affliction is merely much ado about nothing.

About the15thReteng Rinpoche

He is Living Buddha, and he is different.Through his ability to combine the holy and the secular, he touches people』s hearts with his poetry. He enjoys drinking good coffee, taking photos and sharing his interpretations of life on the social media. Unlike monks in ancient times, who were hermits living in isolated monasteries and temples, he is socially active in the world.

He said, "You cannot save living creatures from torment if you shrink from contact with human society and fail to understand what really plagues human souls."

He is a monk who has learnt what really plagues human souls from his experiences of living within communities. Every year he spends half of the time on the road, in Beijing, Shanghai, and in countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia, teaching the art of living in the present through practice of Buddhist wisdom. He believes that the mindfulness practices of Tibetan Buddhism are compatible with all religions in reducing the anxiety of modern life. He practices acceptance and compassion towards all beings.

He is the15thReteng Rinpoche, a Tibetan Living Buddha, who』d like to share the secret of happiness with you.
