I think there are 2 factors

1. Kobe knew Matt Barnes was going to try to throw the ball at him. Therefore, he premeditated the attempt at the throw and knew Banres would not throw it, being prepared for the entire play. However, this brings forth the question of HOW he knew Matt Barnes was going to throw it. Still don"t understand that. Maybe something happened in the previous play?

2. Kobe did not know Matt Barnes was going to try to throw the ball at him. This is an even more scary scenario. So Kobe didn"t know the ball was going to be thrown. How/Why did he not flinch or even react the to ball? Almost every human being would make a reaction. Hell, if you tell me you"re going to throw a ball at him beforehand, I would still flinch or something. So why wouldn"t Kobe flinch in this case? There are even more questions in this case than the previous.

2. 科比不知道馬特-巴恩斯要試著朝他扔球過去。這種情況更加可怕。所以科比不知道球要被那麼扔的話，他為什麼，又是怎麼做到沒有躲閃甚至連一點反應都沒有？幾乎每個人類面對那種情況都會有個反應吧。艹，就算你提前告訴我你要朝我扔，我還是會閃躲或者有別的什麼反應。所以為什麼科比沒躲呢？這種情況比前一個引出的問題更多啊。

I"m still not fully understanding this play, and how it shook out the way it did - even from a human physiologically way. Why wouldn"t someone flinch or even react some sort of way.

My take on it is that Kobe doesn"t notice the ball. Kobe is focused on trying to stare down Barnes. This hyperfocused gaze makes it so everything around him is turned off so to speak.
