舞蹈伸展了我的身體,但瑜伽伸展了我的精神

一句話瑜伽,第184期Elissa:讓我們談談心靈與身體的聯繫。我喜歡這樣的說法:我能屈能伸,所以我不易碎,這意味著以柔克剛。我認為它也涉及身體和心理的柔韌性。你的身體彎曲,意味著你頭腦為你抗了一下。Let"s talk mind-body connection for a moment. I love that saying that goes :Ibendso I do not break which implies a certain flexibility to combat the weakness of rigidity.I think it also references physical &mental flexibility. Your body bends but the idea of somethings breaking implies your mind snapping.

我一直具備身心的柔韌性,也許這是一種巧合,但……也許不是!命運多舛的我,一生中的大部分時間,都經歷一種自身免疫性疾病。I" ve always been a flexible both physically &mentally, &maybe that"s a coincidence but then again...maybe not! The majority of my life has been plagued with an auto-immune disease.

我不懂病情所有的細節,但最困擾我的癥狀之一便是便秘。這導致了一系列其他的事情,比如害怕吃得太多,身材不好等等。I won"t get into all the details but one of the most constant symptoms that would plague me was constipation. This led to a whole slew of other things like the fear of eatingtoo much, bad body image etc.

身體的便秘導致精神的便秘,如果有什麼困擾我,我不能處理它或放它走。我讓它在我體內膨脹,讓我感到疲憊和遲鈍。The physical constipationled to mental constipation If something bothered me I couldn t process it or let it go. I let it bloat up inside me which made me feel exhausted &sluggish.

8年前,當我發現瑜伽時,我的疾病開始好轉。這不是身體鍛煉的緣故,我已經是一個舞蹈演員了並且非常活躍,它來自於精神明晰和專註瑜伽的一臂之力。It was when I found yoga 8 years ago that my disease started to subside.It wasn"t from the physical exercise, I was already a dancer &very active, it was from the mental clarity &concentration yoga helped me cultivate.

冥想和專註一件事,有時會幫我釐清一些纏人的事情,一旦我讓一個沉重的念頭走了,事情就變得容易了。The meditation &focus on one thing at a time helped me get clear & mindful about all the shit I was carrying around constantly. Once I let one heavy thought go, it was easier to let others go.

我發現我的精神的代謝加快:把一個想法,情況或問題,通過代謝處理掉,然後完全放走它。我不禁注意到身體上的便秘也消散了。I found my mental metabolism speeding up: taking in one thought, situation or problem, processing through it, then completely letting it go. I can"t help but notice that the physical constipation has dissipated as well.

巧合?還是證明了更深層次的身心聯繫?我不是科學家,我也沒有研究過它,但我會說,如果你改變你的心態,你會改變你的身體。如果你移動你的肌肉,你就會移動你的想法。Coincidence?Or proof of a deeper mind-body connection? I"m not ascientist nor have I done studies on it but I would argue that if you change your mindset you will change your body&if you move your muscles you will move your thoughts.

伸展你的身體,伸展你的思維。清除你頭腦的混亂,你的身體會感覺不同。Stretch your body, stretch your mind. Clear the clutter from your head &your body will feel a difference.
