Independence Day

每年的7月4號是美國的獨立日，性質和中國的國慶節差不多。不過美國人並不叫國慶節，而是叫獨立日或者直接叫7月4號！

The 4th of July is the Independence Day of the United States. It is similar to other countries『 National Day. However, the Americans do not call for the National Day. Instead, they call Independence Day or directly call July 4th.

全世界過節都離不開吃吃喝喝、聚聚玩玩。不過和中國人國慶節喜歡出去旅遊不同，美國人大部分只在當地干點什麼。當然這和假期長短有關，美國獨立日一般只放一天假。

The holidays all over the world are inseparable from eating, drinking, and gathering. However, unlike Chinese like to go out for tourism on National Day, most Americans only do something locally. Of course, this is related to the length of the holiday. Most people in U.S. Independence Day only takes a day off.

美國人怎麼過「國慶節」呢？讓我們一起來看一下吧：

這是當地居民在我家附近的一個小公園的一個小遊行。主要是一些小朋友和他們的家長，當然也有個別愛玩的成年人。大家主要以國旗的顏色為裝飾顏色，偶爾也有cosplay的。不同的地方遊行的規模和內容不同，有的地方很熱鬧哦！

This is a small parade of local residents in a small park near my home. It is mainly children and their parents. Of course, there are also some adults who love to play. The main colors that are mainly decorated with are the colors of the national flag. Occasionally some people would cosplay. Different places have different scales and contents, and some places have really big parades!

這是我在亞特蘭大時，奧林匹克公園獨立日的一次音樂會。在可口可樂（總部在亞特蘭大）的贊助下我們得以免費入場，可謂近水樓台。

This is a Independence Day concert in the Olympic Park when I was in Atlanta. Thanks to the sponsorship of Coca-Cola (headquarters in Atlanta) we were able to enter free of charge.

我和兩個朋友開車到地鐵站然後乘地鐵來到市區。獨立日這一天市裡的車位很緊張（平日里就很緊張），再加上偶爾有人喝醉什麼的，不開車來是最明智的選擇。

I drove to the subway station with two friends and then went to the city by subway. On the day of the Independence Day, the parking space in the city is very tense (hard to park even in weekdays). Especially, some people may drunk today, it is wisest not to drive.

當然，除了以上幾種，還有燒烤，嘉年華會，集市，野餐，棒球比賽，家庭團聚，政治演講和儀式，各種公共和私人活動等。當時寄宿家庭邀還請我參加他們所在俱樂部舉辦的獨立日活動。

Of course, in addition to the above, there are barbecues, carnivals, bazaars, picnics, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies, and various public and private events.
