Which NBA player who"s not on your team do you irrationally root for?

Mine would probably be Russell Westbrook. He receives a lot of hate and criticism, but his attitude is so appealing to me as a fan and I just want this guy to succeed so much.

I love Gary, I root for him probably because I consider him one of the funnestplayers to watch in the NBA - between his perfect cuts and synergy with Jokic, tough defense, and sweet 3-point stroke. His game-winner against OKC last year was straight-up nasty.

I"m doing an internship in Greece right now, and everyone (except racists) love him here. I was playing basketball today at the public park near me, and a youngish high school age kid asked me to play H-O-R-S-E with him. I asked him if he watched the NBA at all, and he started gushing about Giannis and how he got to see his brother Thanassis play for Panathinaikos.

Basketball is pretty big here because of the Greek league, but way fewer people would probably care about it if Giannis weren"t there. It"s honestly pretty cool to see. Also half of the country is named Giannis, so his branding is super on point.
