Not to undermine Lebron"s school but my guy Bismack built a school in Africa when he was 24 years old. I don"t think he fully funded it but still.

A lot of people were reporting that it was a public school that, given Lebron"s foundation improved it to have private school features and pledges/scholarships after they graduate.

Edit: since everyone is just repeating themselves I』ll say this. I know he could make a private school but that isn』t what this school was for. It』s for lifting up the traditionally impoverished families in the state defined school district that would use these public facilities that are normally defined as less than amicable to higher education.

Since this is not a private school and he didn』t create a private school, it is illegal for him to privately fund a public state institution completely.

Free college tuition to the University of Akron for students who graduate high school; Food pantry for families; GED and job search support for parents; and free bicycles and Chromebooks are likely funded by the James foundation.

The school also offers career services and counseling for the teachers, as a way to attract better teachers.

Didn"t he say it was a joint venture between the Akron public school system and his foundation? Plus it"s a public school so I don"t think it can be completely privately funded.

it』s actually much better that he』s working with the public schools, because it』s more sustainable and scalable + empowers local government
