Acclaimed Austrian cellist Lukas Lauermann (Soap&Skin, Ritornell a.o.) presents his debut tour in China, and invites us to listen into"the great spaces all around"in this performance of original "modern classical" music.

Lauermann understands the concept of reduction to imply, not the omission of but the immersion in a particular thing; he sets the lines of a poem to music, works out new ways of playing a centuries-old musical instrument.

盧卡斯勞爾曼，1985年出生於奧地利維也納。作為專業的大提琴表演藝術家，編曲及作曲人，有著豐富的現場和錄音經驗，和眾多奧地利知名樂隊及藝術家合作，例如多瑙波濤騎士（Donauwellenreiter），回復曲(Ritornell)，肥皂與皮膚（Soap&Skin）, 米拉盧科瓦斯（Mira Lu Kovacs）以及來自維也納的尼諾（Der Nino aus Wien）等。

他的演奏範圍包括戲劇及藝術表演，例如吉利丁（Gelatin），聖格內特（美）（Saint Genet，US）等，並為有聲戲劇及電影配樂。由他參與合作並出品的作品已多達40部。這位「可能是奧地利最多才多藝及高產的大提琴表演藝術家」（奧地利標準報），已經開過多次現場個人獨奏會，現如今，他終於通過發布首張個人專輯，開啟個人代表作之路。

盧卡斯勞爾曼的巡演足跡遍及世界各地，例如巴黎蟬鳴劇院，倫敦皇家節日音樂廳，台北音樂廳，維也納城堡歌劇院及科隆交響音樂廳，同時在哈薩克，馬來西亞，美國和加拿大等地區音樂節中演出。

Austrian-born Lucas Lauermann is a world-renowned cellist, who performs with celebrated bands (Soap&Skin, Der Nino aus Wien, Donauwellenreiter, a.o.) and writes and plays music for theatre and film productions.

His latest album "How I Remember Now I Remember How「 invites us to listen into 「the great spaces all around」 – spaces of memory, chambers of sensation, places of yearning.

Yet for all his joy in experimenting the music of Lukas Lauermann oscillates between the intellectual earnestness of classical concert halls and the directness of pop music. He feels at home in both worlds.
