JOYRYDE，真名John Ford，生於1985年7月24日，以藝名JOYRYDE和JOYRYDE化的音樂風格聞名，是一名英國DJ和製作人，Phantasm Records的持有者John Phantasm之子。受父親以及幼年家中播放的音樂的啟發和影響，JOYRYDE從9歲起就開始在錄音棚里創作自己的音樂，但直到13歲才正式開始他的DJ生涯。JOYRYDE完全沉浸在DJ全世界巡演的歡樂生活中，兩年後15歲的他才重回錄音棚，以Eskimo作為藝名製作更加專業有技術性的音樂作品。17歲時，他發行了他的第一張專輯《Can You Pick Me Up》。

John Ford, (born 24 July 1985) better known by his stage name JOYRYDE, is an English DJ and producer, son of John Ford (also known as John Phantasm and owner of Phantasm Records). Inspired by his father John Phantasm (and consequently the music he heard playing at home when he was young), Ford started producing his own music in the studio from the age of 9 but did not begin DJing worldwide until he was 13. Wrapped up in the life of DJing, Ford did not return to the studio until he was 15, which was when he "wanted to get back into the producing part of it since the music was getting more technical". Not until then did he start producing under the name of Eskimo. At age 17 he released his first album 《Can You Pick Me Up》.

2004年夏天，JOYRYDE以Eskimo的名字發行了他的第二張專輯《Take A Look Out There》，其中包括著名的《Party Pooper》，這首歌取樣於一場被警察砸了場是派對現場，可以說小JOYRYDE也是很gang的。自2015年之後，他就一直以JOYRYDE的名字製作bass house音樂。2016年，JOYRYDE簽約加入了OWSLA，並以廠牌之名發布單曲《Hot Drum》和《Damn》。

In summer 2004, Eskimo released his second artist album "Take A Look Out There" which included the well-known "Party Pooper", a track sampling the police shutting down a free party. Since 2015, Ford has produced bass house music, solo, under the name JOYRYDE.

In 2016, Joyryde signed onto OWSLA, releasing singles "Hot Drum" and "Damn" on the record label.

自從JOYRYDE和Skrillex宣布他們的《AGEN WIDA》發行日以來，整個電子音樂界都在為之瘋狂，這兩個低音發電站之間的合作讓每個人感到興奮。然而這一天終於到來了，為了更隆重地推出新專輯《Brave》，JOYRYDE帶著這首不朽的合作新單回歸，還拽回了沉迷玩狗的Skrillex，粉絲們終於可以鬆一口氣了。

Ever since the JOYRYDE and Skrillex announced their 「AGEN WIDA」 October 19th release date the entire dance music scene has been going crazy, the collaborative ID between the two bass powerhouses had everyone talking. The day has finally arrived, in order to appropriately announce the forthcoming of his debut album」Brave」, JOYRYDE is back with this monumental track. Not only do we see the return of the bass house assailant, but we also are treated to Skrillex『s return to dance music.

在把電子音樂界搞得天翻地覆之後，JOYRYDE安靜下來，把他的時間集中在他的下張專輯上，該專輯將於11月30日發行。雖然Skrillex經常疑似回歸然後去幾個現場蹦躂一下就又消失了，但這次的新單很可能意味著OWSLA新音樂輸出的閘門正式打開。

After flipping the electronic dance music community upside down with a bevy of releases, JOYRYDE had gone quiet focusing his time on his debut album, which is set to be released November 30th. While Skrillex completely fell off the grid besides a handful of international sets but following the announcement of his limited tour dates to close out 2018, this release may open up the floodgates for the OWSLA juggernaut when it comes to new music.
