BMC期刊「家庭與糖尿病」主題精選

2018年聯合國糖尿病日的主題為:家庭與糖尿病(The Family and Diabetes)。聯合國糖尿病日前身是世界糖尿病日(World Diabetes Day,WDD),由世界衛生組織和國際糖尿病聯盟於1991年共同發起的,其宗旨是引起全球對糖尿病的警覺和醒悟。

BMC精選旗下相關期刊和研究前沿論文,旨在幫助各位專家學者了解最新發表的研究,希望各界共同參與到糖尿病的防治工作中來。

糖尿病是一種常見病、多發病,世衛組織估計全世界2.2億多人患有糖尿病。如不進行干預,這一數字到2030年可能會增加一倍以上。近80%的糖尿病死亡發生在中低收入國家。

我國目前約有5千萬糖尿病人,而且有上升的趨勢,嚴重威脅到人類的健康。世界衛生組織已將糖尿病列為三大疑難病之一,在全球幾乎每一個國家,糖尿病發病率都在上升。這種疾病是導致失明、腎衰竭、截肢、心臟病和中風的主要原因。

近年來,全球2型糖尿病患者數量顯著增加,且發病顯著年輕化。可能原因包括肥胖人數增加、生活方式不健康(缺乏體育鍛煉、飲食不健康等)、高收入國家平均壽命延長等。1型糖尿病發病率也呈現增加趨勢,具體原因尚不明確。

與應對逐年增高的發病率相平行的是糖尿病相關科學研究和治療方法不斷取得新突破,例如調整飲食和生活方式、減肥手術、新型藥物試驗(胰島素類似物、GLP-1激動劑、SGLT2抑製劑等)、幹細胞相關方法、人工胰腺、智能技術等。

我們鼓勵科研人員積極向BMC Medicine糖尿病特輯投稿,實驗研究(包括系統回顧和薈萃分析)可以就糖尿病發病機制、遺傳風險、種族背景、危險因素、複雜患者(包括老年人、年輕人和兒童)的控制、藥物治療、臨床試驗新數據等任何一方面展開探索。此外糖尿病特輯中BMC Medicine還會發表邀約綜述、辯論和文章評論。

糖尿病與進食障礙——並不簡單的伴發症

近期的臨床流行病學研究發現具有進食障礙的患者中糖尿病患病比例較高,罹患糖尿病的的進食障礙患者死亡率較高,這一發現意味著血糖控制不佳可能是導致患者死亡的重要原因。

因此,Journal of Eating Disorder推出的主題系列就將目光投向了I 型和II型糖尿病與進食障礙方面的研究。
