POLICEMAN:

What happened?

警察：

發生了什麼事情？

MAN:

A dog across the road and the driver tried to avoid it. 

男子：

一條狗穿過馬路，那位司機企圖躲開狗。

The car suddenly came towards me. 

突然，汽車朝我開過來。

It climbed on to the pavement and crashed into that post.

它走上人行道，撞到那根杆子上。

POLICEMAN:

What did you do?

警察：

你做了什麼？

MAN:

I ran across the street after the dog.

男子：

我穿過馬路去追狗。

POLICEMAN:

Why did you do that? Were you afraid of the car?

警察：

你為什麼這樣做呢？你怕汽車嗎？

MAN:

I wasn"t afraid of the car. I was afraid of the driver. 

男子：

我不怕汽車，我怕那個司機。

The driver got out of the car and began shouting at me. 

他下了車，開始朝我喊了起來。

He was very angry with me. You see, it was my dog.

他對我很生氣。你知道的，那是我的狗。
