Introduction to the Collection of Eight Diagrams on the Twelve Zodiac Animals in Qing Dynasty;

Money originated in the Han Dynasty, and " spending money" is the common name of " being weary of winning money", also known as " winning money". It is an ancient or modern metal auspicious or evil-repelling product in the form of coins. " Spending money" is not a currency in circulation, it is only for folk to wear and admire. At present, the amount of money spent on the stock is very small, and the special edition like " Eight Diagrams of the Twelve Zodiac" is even more rare and of great collection value.

Spending money on the twelve zodiac animals is a kind of spending money in ancient times. In the early period of spending money, it was mainly a kind of playing money for folk self-entertainment. It was not used for circulation. Most materials were rough, but there were many kinds. The money spent in ancient times is somewhat similar to the commemorative coins of today, but the use is more extensive and the implication is more complicated, usually the implication of exorcising evil spirits and commemorating good luck.

The twelve zodiac animals were the most widely used in Qing Dynasty. Because of their small size, lightness and beauty, the ancients liked to use them as ornaments, worn on hats and belts, and used to exorcise ghosts, ward off evil spirits and protect safety. Since ancient times, Shan Gui has always been a symbol of justice and height in people"s hearts. Some even hang it in corners, shadow walls and other places as a town house.

Recently, Xiamen Bode Richness has collected a piece of Eight Diagrams of the 12 Zodiac signs of the Qing Dynasty, with a diameter of 4.3cm and a weight of 36.7g g. This coin is exquisitely made, with clear and distinguishable characters and unique shape. It is actually a fine piece of money. On one side of the coin is a round eight trigrams diagram. Eight trigrams refer to the eight trigrams of " Gan, Kun, Zhen, Kan, Gen, Xun, Li and Dui". " Yi Xi Ci Shang" says: " Yi has Tai Chi, which gives birth to two forms, two forms give birth to four images, and four images give birth to eight diagrams". On the other side is the figure of the 12 zodiac animals, mainly the " 12 zodiac animals". It is made up of 12 animal patterns such as rat, cow, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, chicken, dog and pig. It is also equipped with 12 characters such as " Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai", representing 12 hours, 12 months of the year and 12 zodiac phases of human beings.

In the vast area of our country, people are born to belong to one of the twelve animal zodiac animals attached to the twelve branches of the earth, which is called " attribute phase". " zodiac" originated from the chronological method of the twelve branches of " zi, Chou, yin, Mao, Chen, si, Wu, Wei, Shen, you, e, hai" scheduled by ancient artists. In order to mark the year, people in the Han Dynasty were matched with 12 zodiac animals. That is, the child is a rat, ugly is an ox, yin is a tiger, Mao is a rabbit, Chen is a dragon, si is a snake, noon is a horse, not a sheep, Shen is a Hou, you are a chicken, Xu is a dog, hai is a pig. " Attribute" is one of the most common folk customs with a long duration in our country.

" Eight Diagrams on the Twelve Zodiac Spend Money", with its high cultural value and collection value, fully reflects the ancient folk customs and spiritual outlook of the ancients. The design is atmospheric and vivid. In recent years, it has been sought after by the collectors. However, this coin has a sophisticated coating and a complete appearance. The traces left by history are clearly visible. The collection is exquisite in appearance and unique in aesthetic style. Although coins are small, they also have a glimpse of social culture. It is covered with pulp to the bone, old and natural, deep typing mouth is clear, circulation trace is obvious, edge tooth clearance, has extremely high investment value and collection value. It has a historical edification, is a revolutionary cultural relic of high value, and has profound historical commemorative significance. At the same time, it is also a rare material object for archaeology and study of Chinese history and culture.
