據BBC消息，斯里蘭卡政府要求人民在5月4日-5日兩天內上交刀劍、槍支、易爆物等危險物品。

據報道，自4月21日起，斯里蘭卡發生了多起恐怖襲擊爆炸，造成250多人死亡、500多人受傷。

斯里蘭卡遭到爆炸襲擊的地點主要是教堂、酒店。極端組織「伊斯蘭國」宣稱發動了這些恐怖襲擊。

In addition to weapons, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara called on people in possession of "police orcamouflagedmilitary uniforms" tohand them in to their nearest police station on Saturday or Sunday.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena told Reuters on Saturday thatsome 25 to 30 people linked to the bombings were still at large.

斯里蘭卡總統邁特里帕拉·西里塞納周六接受路透社採訪時透露，大約25名至30名與爆炸案相關的嫌疑犯還在逃。

他接著又表示對斯里蘭卡警方的信任，相信警方能在年底前穩定社會治安，確保總統選舉如期進行。

Mr Sirisena also added that he believed the country"s security forces would "eradicate terrorism" andrestore stabilitybefore presidential elections, which are due to take place by the end of the year.

西里塞納總統補充道，他相信國家的安保人員能夠 「根除恐怖主義」 並在年底的總統大選前，重新穩定社會秩序。

"Elections cannot be postponed, therefore before the elections I will bring about stability and I will eradicate terrorism," he said.

"總統選舉無法被推遲，因此在選舉前我將會為國家帶來穩定，並將根除恐怖主義," 他說。
