如何正確用英語表達上述含義？

resepectively

通常我們會使用英語單詞respectively來表達「分別」的含義。因此，上面的句子可以寫為「China and Japan accounted for 30% and 50% respectively.」注意，respectively 通常被置於數據的後面。也就是說，不會這樣使用：account for respectively 30% and 50%.

基於上面的用法，我們再來看看下面兩個例子：

• The two meals cost us ￡50 and ￡80 respectively. 這2餐飯分別花了50和80磅。
• Her two daughters were born in 1978 and 1981 respectively. 她的2個女兒分別出生於1978年和1981年。

在上述兩句話中，respectively同樣被置於數據之後。

separately

在上面的句子中，我們完全可以用separately 來替換 respectively表示「分別」。例如，China, Japan and the US accounted for 30%, 50% and 60% separately.

each

如果2個對象同時佔據相同的比例，又該怎麼表達呢？例如「中國和日本均佔據30%」。此時，我們可以利用單詞each來表達：China and Japan accounted for 30% each.

compared to

我們還可以利用compared to 來同時描述2個數據。例如：China accounted for 30%, compared to 50% in Japan.
