當地時間周日，喬治亞商業電視台Rustavi-2的主持人Giorgi Gabunia用俄語侮辱了普京和其已故父母。

Giorgi Gabunia, called Putin a 「filthy invader」 and insulted the Russian president』s mother using coarse language, before adding 「Oh, your mother』s dead … Let her burn in hell with you and your father.」

Giorgi Gabunia稱普京為「骯髒的侵略者」並用粗俗的語言侮辱普京的母親，然後補充說「哦對了，你的母親已經死了......讓她和你父親一起在地獄中燃燒吧。」

Gabunia also called Russian people 「slaves」 and told them to get out of Georgia, which is a popular holiday destination even after the short war fought by the two countries in 2008.

Some ordinary Georgians were equally outraged. While some vented their displeasure at Gabuniya on social media, others gathered in a crowd at his station"s HQ in Tbilisi, demanding that he be fired. Several hundred people were seen shouting and throwing eggs and bottles at the building.

Similar outrage bubbled online with commentators calling Gabuniya an 「idiot,」 and his station a 「trash heap.」 Multiple indignant messages came from prominent industry professionals, many of them of Georgian origin. 「Gabuniya, this isn"t journalism, or courage, or the Georgian way, or the human way... not to mention love for your country,」 Georgian journalist Zurab Dvali wrote.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who has previously called Russia an 「enemy and occupier」 herself, wrote on Facebook that she 「unequivocally condemns hate speech, verbal aggression, insults and provocative statements」, which have nothing to do with patriotism.

In a statement on its website, Rustavi-2 said Gabunia violated "the high standards established by our channel".
