一天它跑進一個市場，趁人們不注意的時候，

它叼走了一塊骨頭

Dog was always hungry.

小狗總是很餓。

One day, he trotted to the market.

一天，他跑進一個市場里。

He spotted a bone.

它發現了一根骨頭。

「Look at that bone, 」Dog barked.

「看那根骨頭」小狗叫著。

「I want it !」

「我想要它！」

No one was looking.

沒有人看它。

Greedy Dog grabbed the bone.

貪婪的小狗叼起骨頭。

「Hey !」

「嘿！」

Then he ran away.

然後它逃跑了。

He ran and ran.

它跑啊跑。

「I』m so clever !」

「我太聰明了！」

Soon, he came to a river.

很快，他來到了河邊。

Dog looked into the water.

小狗看向水裡。

He saw another dog!

它看見了另一隻小狗！

「That dog has a bigger bone,」he thought.

「那隻狗有一塊更大的骨頭，」它心想。

「I want it ! 」

「我想要那塊更大的骨頭！」

He growled at the dog in the water.

它對著水裡的狗咆哮著。

The dog in the water growled back.

水裡的狗也對著它咆哮。

He barked at the dog in the water.

它對著水裡的小狗叫著。

The bone fell out of his mouth.

骨頭一下從它的嘴裡掉落。

The other dog vanished.

另一隻小狗消失了。

「Oh no ! 」barked Dog.

「哦，不!」小狗叫著。

「Now I have no bone at all.」

「我現在一根骨頭也沒有了。」

There was no dog in the water.

水裡根本沒有小狗。

It was Greedy Dog』s reflection all along.

那只是貪婪的小狗的倒影。

「I』m so silly ! 」
