英語美文：記得他人的好，忘了他人對你的不好

Two friends were walking through the desert. At one point, they had an argument, and the first friend slapped the other in the face.

一個人和他朋友穿越沙漠。他們因為某事起了爭執，他朋友扇了他一耳光。

The other friend was hurt, but quietly he wrote in the sand:」 Today my best friend slapped me in the face.」

他受傷了，他靜靜的在沙上寫著「今天，我最好的朋友給了一耳光。」

They kept walking, until they found an oasis. There they decided to cool off and swim.

他們接著走，直到看見一處綠洲，他們決定在那裡乘乘涼游游泳。

The other friend started drowning, but his friend saved him.

他溺水了，他的朋友救了他。

After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: 「Today my best friend saved my life.」

當他恢復的時候，他在石頭上寫著「今天我最好的朋友救了我一命。」

The friend, who had both slapped and saved his best friend, asked him, 「After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?」

扇了他一耳光又救了他的朋友問：「我傷了你，你寫在沙上，我救了你，你寫在石頭上，為什麼？」

The other friend replied: 「When someone hurt us, we should write it down in sand,where the winds of time and forgiveness can erase it.

他回答到：「當你被人傷害時，把他寫在沙上，總有一天時間和寬恕會撫平他。

But when someone dose something good for you, we must engrave it on stone, where no wind can ever erase it.」

當有人為你做了好事，你必須刻在石上，沒有風可以磨滅它。」
