Winnie the Witch lived in a black house in the forest.
女巫溫妮住在森林裡一棟黑色的大房子里。
The house was black on the outside and black on the inside.
這棟房子從裡到外都是黑色的。
The carpets were black.
地毯是黑色的。
The chairs were black.
椅子是黑色的。
The bed was black and it had black sheets and black blankets.
床是黑色的，床單和毯子也是黑色的。
Even the bath was black.
甚至浴缸也是黑色的。
Winnie lived in her black house with her cat,Wilbur.
溫妮和她的貓咪威爾伯一起住在這棟黑色的房子里。
He was black too.And that is how the trouble began.
威爾伯也是黑色的，所以問題來了。
When Wilbur sat on a chair with his eyes open,
當威爾伯趴在椅子上時，如果它眼睛是睜開的，
Winnie could see him.She could see his eyes,anyway.
溫妮就能看見它，至少她還能看到它的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep,
但如果威爾伯的眼睛閉著睡覺，
Winnie couldn t see him at all.So she sat on him.
那溫妮可就看不清了。她會一屁股坐在威爾伯的身上。
When Wilbur sat on the carpet with his eyes open,
當威爾伯趴在地毯上時，如果它眼睛是睜開的，
Winnie could see him.She could see his eyes,anyway.
溫妮就能看見它，至少她還能看到它的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep,
但如果威爾伯的眼睛閉著睡著了，
Winnie couldn t see him at all.So she tripped over him.
那溫妮可就看不清了。她會一下絆倒在威爾伯的身上。
One day,after a nasty fall,
有一天，在一次重重摔跤之後，
Winnie decided something had to be done.
溫妮想著一定要改變點什麼。
She picked up her magic wand,
她舉起魔杖，
waved it once and ABRACADABRA!
揮動著念咒「ABRACADABRA!」
Wilbur was a black cat no longer.
威爾伯不再是一隻黑色貓了。
He was bright green!
它變成了熒光綠色！
Now,when Wilbur slept on a chair,Winnie could see him.
現在，當威爾伯睡在椅子上時，溫妮能看見它。
When Wilbur slept on the floow,Winnie could see him.
當威爾伯睡在地板上時，溫妮能看見它。
And she could see him when he slept on the bed.
溫妮還能看到威爾伯躺在床上。
But,Wilbur was not allowed to sleep on the bed...
但是，威爾伯是不允許睡在床上的......
...so Winnie put him outside.
...所以溫妮把威爾伯丟到了屋外。
Outside in the grass.
丟到了屋外的草叢裡。
Winnie came hurrying outside,
可是溫妮急急忙忙走出門的時候，
tripped over wilbur,
又絆倒在了威爾伯身上，
turned three somesaults,
連翻了三個跟斗，
and fell into a rose bush.
摔在了玫瑰花叢里。
When Wilber sat outside in the grass,
當威爾伯坐在屋外的草地里，
Winnie couldn t see him,even when his eyes were wide open.
即使它的眼睛睜得再大，溫妮也看不見它。
This time,Winnie was furious.
這下，溫妮可發大火了。
She picked up her magic wand,
她撿起魔杖，
waved it five times and...
連續揮舞了五次...
...Abracadabra!
...Abracadabra！
Wilbur had a red head,
威爾伯現在擁有一個大紅色的腦袋，
a yellow body,a pink tail,
黃色的身體，粉紅色的尾巴，
blue whiskers,and four purple legs.
藍色的鬍鬚，還有四條紫色的腿。
But his eyes were still green.
但他的眼睛依然是綠色的。
Now,Winnie could see Wilbur
現在，溫妮任何時候都能看見威爾伯了
when he sat on a chair,
無論它是趴在椅子上，
when he lay on the carpet,
睡在地攤上，
when he crawled into the grass.
還是蜷縮在草叢裡。
And even when he climbed to the top of the tallest tree.
甚至當它爬上最高的樹頂，她還是能看見。
Wilbur climbed to the top of the tallest tree to hide.
威爾伯爬到最高的樹頂上去躲藏。
He looked ridiculous and he knew it.
它知道自己看上去非常可笑。
Even the birds laughed at him.

Wilbur was miserable.
威爾伯很傷心。
He stayed at the top of the tree all day and all night.

Next morning Wilbur was still up the tree.

Winnie was worried.

She loved Wilbur and hated him to be miserable.

Then Winnie had an idea.
然後溫妮想到了一個好主意。
She waved her magic wand and Abracadabra!
她揮動起魔杖，「Abracadabra！」
Wilbur was a black cat once more.
威爾伯又變回了一隻黑貓。
Then Winnie waved her wand again,and again,and again.
然後溫妮不停地揮動著她的魔杖。
Abracadabra!
「Abracadabra!」
Now instead of a black house,
現在，大房子不再是黑色的了，
she had a yellow house with a red roof and a red door.
溫妮現在擁有一座黃色的大房子，有著紅色的屋頂和紅色的門。
The chairs were white with red and white cushions.
椅子是白色的，上面放著紅白條紋的靠墊。
The carpet was green with pink rosed.
地毯是綠色底子印著粉紅色的玫瑰花。
The bed was blue,with pink and white sheets and pink blankets.
床變成了藍色，鋪著白色床單和粉紅色毯子。
The bath was a gleaming white.
白色浴缸閃著隱隱的光。
And now,Winnie can see Wilbur no matter where he sits.
現在，不管威爾伯待在哪兒，溫妮都能看見它了。
