丨詞源/The Origin of the Phrase

一般認為，「有生之年」一詞出自清代李汝珍所著《鏡花緣》第68回：「俾臣得保蟻命，此後有生之年，莫非主上所賜，惟求格外垂憐。」指一生之中最後的年月，即余年。

後來，「有生之年」逐漸入侵了二次元。最早讓「有生之年」在圈內流行的可能是日本同人社團舞風2008年推出的動畫《夢想夏鄉》，由於同人團體的財力物力有限，這部動畫直到2012年才推出了系列的第二集，被戲稱為「奧運番」。

「有生之年」用來形容一部作品粉絲們等了很長時間，終於「在有生之年」看到更新了，形容等的時間長。

動漫界是有生之年系列的重災區。一部動漫作品被歸入「有生之年系列」大致源於兩個原因，一個是由於動漫作者的匠（quan）心（qian）精神，完全不想讓動漫有完結的意思，情節被一再延長，雖然故事有明確的主線，但劇情卻始終在走支線。比如已經更新至900多集的某死亡小學生系列動漫。（什麼？我都上大學了這貨居然還是個小學生？）
