Exactly, the assets the celtics were willing to give meant that the Pacers would enter their rebuild with loads of potential picks, allowing them to build a strong core. With oladipo not only do they get a negative asset (they"d have to give something away to get rid of him) but he"s also not bad enough to allow Indiana to completely bottom out for a high lottery pick.

The Thunder got Oladipo as a sixth man come off the bench when Westbrook and Durant were together. When Durant left, Oladipo was thrust into a deficient starting lineup. He is not someone you can build around. He is a solid, energizing, role player.

The lakers were offering so much more than what the thunder were offering, and they still wouldnt trade him there, out of pure spite. Paul George has done so much for the pacers, and this is how they repay him and the fan base (the pacers essentially got a bag of potatoes compared to what the lakers offered).

The second a GM lets emotion get in the way of logic is when its time for him or her to go. Unbelievable what the gm of the pacers has done to the team"s rebuilding process.

Edit: apparently it was the president of the pacers that made the decision, the gm was just hired a day or so ago.

If anything he did George a favor. It either works and they have a good thing going forward over there, or it doesn"t and he just got 12 months of building a relationship/recruiting Westbrook to head to LA with him (where they"re both from).

如果從任何角度來說步行者可能給喬治幫了一個忙的話，要麼就是喬治和威少真的能夠配合的很好，然後在雷霆打出了一番天地；要麼就是化學反應很差，但是喬治卻剛剛得到了12個月的時間去和威少建立關係/以及招募他和自己一起去湖人（他們長大的地方）。

Can"t believe people used to shit on Bird. He was coach or GM over our most successful runs since the ABA. He worked for a shit owner, too. He wasn"t West, but he was a pretty good GM all things considered.
