Well, yeah, most are. Some aren』t. Pretty much like any place.

It』s an odd question. Sort of like you』re asking if one group of humans are different from another. To which I would say we are all people with very little difference.

Culturally, Chinese are tolerant and aware of others. Crime rates are similar to Australia, much better than the US.

Most important, don』t believe anything western mainstream media say about China or Chinese. Otherwise you wont recognise anything if you visit China.

I am really tired of such kind of questions. No offence but a little bit meaningless.

The country is giant, the society is diverse and everyone here is different from any other. It is impossible to label 1.4 billion people altogether with a simple word, no matter it is good, bad, charming, disgusting or any others.

This works the same for any other nations on the earth.

China ranks 3rd the list of nation with most IQ with an average of about 105. They have a strength of about 1.3 billion. Do the math. They have the second highest GDP just lagging behind the US. They have a GDP growth rate of 6.9% which is pretty extraordinary. That shows that they are a respectable and hard-working nation.

If by the question you mean morally good then I can』t really tell but the ones I』ve met in Pakistan are pretty friendly. They also have strict laws in their country including anonymous execution.

Some are, some are not. I admire a lot of Chinese people I know (hardworking, sober, loyal, dedicated, friendly) and detest a few (corrupt, arrogant, prejudiced, stubborn, paranoid)

That』s the way it goes, they』re neither all saints nor all sinners. I don』t think a nation of 1.3B people (or 1.3M) can be characterized as good or bad, individuals and not peoples or nations have these qualities.

The Chinese people are extremely nice and one observation I picked up on my first trip to China in 1997 was that everybody smiles – not fake smiles but genuine 「Hey, I am happy to see you」 smiles. A couple of years earlier I had been to Siberia and noted quickly that no one smiled and most people looked down as they approached. It was an interesting contrast.

Every country has their good and not-so-good people. This is especially true for China – it has a population of over 1.3 billion people. Also, good is a very vague term. What do you mean exactly by good?

I have been to two cities in China:

Shenyang: People were amazing! They were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. they love spreading their culture and sharing it with foreigners.

As for Beijing: Since it is the capital, half of the people consider you business and money. they are sued to having foreigners.

Over the years, I have met many Chinese in many countries; my wife is also Chinese.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and very accustomed to large crowds, and raised so be 「street smart」 – a talent that has helped me tremendously in my travels to various countries and large cities.

With few exceptions, the Chinese people I have met have been friendly, industrious, deal-makers / traders, able to see the value in a proposition, and willing to treat you at least as well as you treat them. They have a good sense of humor, and a good sense of family and responsibility.

When I met my wife』s parents and brother, they were naturally reticent to accept me as their prospective son-in-law (or brother-in-law in the case of her brother), but after meeting them and speaking with them (with my then fiancée as my interpreter), they relaxed and became much more friendly. My wife』s brother told her 「I like him」 after he and I had a chance to talk, and also told me 「welcome to the family」.
