【改造】建築營設計 | 扭院兒 ? 傳統小院與當代城市生活的融合

DESIGN CONCEPT

項目位於北京大柵欄地區的排子胡同，原本是一座單進四合院。改造的目的是升級現代生活所需的必要基礎設施，將這處曾經以居住功能為主的傳統小院兒轉變為北京內城一處有吸引力的公共活動場所。

Twisting courtyard is located in Paizihutong, Dashilar Area, Beijing. It used to be a Siheyuan with one single entry. The purpose of the improvement is to upgrade the necessary infrastructure needed for modern life, thus turning this traditional courtyard, which mainly serve as a residence, into an attractive public space of Beijing Inner City.

改變原本四合院的莊重、刻板的印象，營造開放、活躍的院落生活氛圍。基於已有院落格局，利用起伏的地面連接室內外高差並延伸至房屋內部扭曲成為牆和頂，讓內外空間產生新的動態關聯。隱於曲牆之內的是廚房、衛生間、庫房等必要的服務性空間；顯於曲牆之外的會客、餐飲空間與庭院連接成為一個整體。室內外地面均採用灰磚鋪就，院中原有的一顆山楂樹也被保留在扭動的景觀之中。

The design aims at getting rid of the solemn and stereotyped impression given by Siheyuan, and creating an open and active living atmosphere. Based on the existing layout of the courtyard, the undulated floor is used to connect indoor and outdoor spaces of different height. And it is extended to the inside of the house, twisting into walls and roof, thus creating dynamic connection between inside and outside space. What"s hidden within the curved wall is necessary auxiliary spaces such as kitchen, toilet and warehouse; while reception and dinning spaces are shown outside the curved wall and connect to the courtyard as a whole. Both indoor and outdoor floors are paved with gray brick. A hawthorn tree in the courtyard is kept and being part of the twisting landscape.

同時也保留了居住的可能性。四間房屋可被隨時租用來進行休閑、會談、聚會等公共活動；同時也可以做為帶有三間卧室的家庭旅舍。整合式傢具用來滿足空間場景的這種彈性切換。東西廂房在原有木框架下嵌入了傢具盒子。木質地台暗藏升降桌面，既可作為茶室空間，也可以作為卧室來使用。北側正房也設有翻床傢具牆體和分隔軟簾，同樣可以滿足這種多用需求。

The small yard is mainly used as urban public space while maintaining the possibility of using as a residence. The four houses can be rented for public events for purposes such as recreation, meeting and gathering. Meanwhile, they could be served as a family hostel with three bedrooms. Integrated furniture is used to enable the flexible switch of space scenes. Furniture boxes are inserted into the existing wood frames of east and west wings. Wood platform with lifting table hidden inside could be used as tearoom or bedroom. Bed wall and partitive soft curtain are also used in the main room on the north to meet multiple use requirements.

院子是「四合院」這種建築類型生活樂趣的核心所在。而「扭院兒」就是在維持已有房屋結構不變的條件下，通過局部關係的微調改變院落空間的氣質並滿足多樣的使用，讓傳統小院兒能夠與時俱進的融入到當代城市生活之中。

For building type 「Siheyuan」, the courtyard is the core of living fun. "Twisting courtyard" makes micro-adjustment to relations between the parts to change the temperament of the courtyard space and to meet requirements of multiple use without changing the existing housing structure, making the traditional courtyard up-to-date and being integrated into modern urban life.

關於韓文強

韓文強，中央美院建築學院副教授，建築營設計工作室創始人。主要研究基於傳統文化背景之下的當代建築與室內環境，致力於讓空間成為人與人、人與環境交流的媒介，創造宜居生活。2015年獲評美國《建築實錄》全球十佳「設計先鋒」。作品曾獲歐洲傑出建築師論壇(The Leading European Architects Forum) 建築獎年度改造建築大獎，美國Architizer A+Awards建築改造評委獎，美國《Hospitality Design》HDAwards年度設計大獎，美國《Interior Design》年度最佳設計獎，美國《Contract》第37屆年度室內設計大獎，台灣室內設計大獎金獎，亞太區室內設計大獎金獎，亞洲最具影響力大獎榮譽獎，WA中國建築獎入圍獎等。作品獲邀參加美國哈佛大學「走向批判的實用主義：當代中國建築」展，韓國光州設計雙年展等。多個作品被國內外知名雜誌和媒體廣為報道，包括美國Architectural Record，英國Architectural Review，義大利Arquitectura Viva，荷蘭Frame，新加坡d+a，香港Perspective，台灣建築，時代建築等雜誌媒體以及dezeen，designboom，archdaily，gooood等網路媒體 。

Han Wen-Qiang, an associate professor in CAFA (China Central Academy of Fine Arts), the founder of ARCHSTUDIO. He mainly researches on contemporary architectural and interior environment based on traditional cultural background, devotes to making space to be the communication medium between people and people, people and environment, and creating a livable life. He has been featured as 2015 One of the Best Ten International "Design Vanguard" by American renowned magazine "Architectural Record」. His works have won many awards, including 「LEAF (Leading European Architecture Forum) Awards」 Refurbishment of the Year Award, Architizer "A+ Awards" Architecture + Renovation Category Jury Award, 「Hospitality Design Award」 Open Category Winner of American Hospitality Design magazine, "Best of Year Awards" of American "Interior Design" Magazine; "The 37th Annual Interior Awards" of American "Contract" magazine; 「Taiwan Interior Design Award」 Gold Award; "Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards" Gold Award; Design for Asia Award Merit Award and WA Design Experiment Award Shortlist Award, etc. His works have also been invited to exhibited at "Towards A Critical Pragmatism: Contemporary Architecture in China" exhibition by Harvard University and 2015 Kwangju Art Biennial in Korea.
